Marc Carroll

Marc has been beekeeping for about 13 years. He grew up in Lorne, and has lived in this region all his life. He also runs a Bobcat business Springtide Bobcats. Marc was an active member of the SES for 15 years. He knows the local area better than most and has considerable knowledge about the trees and flora of the Surfcoast and Otway region and an understanding of its capricious weather patterns. He is a highly observant and intuitive beekeeper, as well as having the strength to lift those heavy boxes of honey.
Felicity Marshall
sidekick beekeeper
Felicity has been involved in beekeeping for as long as Marc. She is also an artist and author/illustrator of children’s books. Some of which are about bees. She does the accounts, deliveries and designs labels and banners for Surfcoast Bees. She is also the sidekick beekeeper, helping Marc with the maintenance of the hives throughout the year and bottling honey and labelling jars. She claims that lugging around beekeeping equipment develops muscles faster than a gym workout.
